"Special tasks" are a type of battle tasks that will reward you with medals. The number of days during which you can spend warbonds for the inventory of the current (or previous) season is displayed in the upper left corner of the WB shop. The shop inventory changes at the start of every Battle Pass season. You can check which shop level you've reached in the WB shop menu or on the Battle Tasks menu.
